The Origins

Around the middle of the nineteenth century, a railway was built linking Italy with Austria.
The wagons, which cross the icy Alps, are heated by innovative wood stoves.

The Idea

In seeing these, someone in Guastalla has the idea of developing their potential.
Thus began one of the most successful entrepreneurial stories, which continues uninterrupted until today.

A Family Company

The Bertazzoni family built the first factory in 1909, then expanded it in the 1920s. The 1950s saw the start of a period of continuous growth. The first Bertazzoni gas stoves were produced in 1953, followed by gas cookers, further improved in 1958 by the addition of an oven.
